Frequently Asked Questions
What are the hours for pick-up and drop-off?
We’re open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m and Saturday though Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 pm. You can request a pick up or drop off anytime during these hours. The business is closed on the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.
Is an assessment meeting required?
Yes. We like to meet each pet and pet parent to ensure that the pet has the temperament needed to travel safely in our vehicles, as well as to provide the pet parent with the opportunity to meet the driver for their pet. Acceptance of the pet for the service is subject to the sole discretion of Furbaby Fetch.
Is there a discount for transporting multiple pets?
Yes, pets from the same family can be transported together and will be provided a discount. Please call us to receive special pricing for multiple pet transport.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your reservation it’s as easy as a phone call or email to let us know. There is no penalty as long as we receive a phone call or email before the day prior to the reservation. If you cancel the same day a $10 fee will be added to your account.
How old does my pet have to be to be serviced by Furbaby Fetch?
At least 4 months old. We want to ensure that all pets have enough time to develop a stable immune system before they are in a facility with other pets.
What vaccinations does my pet need to be serviced by Furbaby Fetch?
Your dog needs to be current on the following vaccinations: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo and Bordetella (the vaccine for canine cough). If the Bordetella vaccine has never been given, or if it has expired, we strongly recommend a seven-day waiting period after the administration, as this may provide your dog with extra protection. For cats we require Rhinotrachetis and Calicivirus. We also request that all dogs and cats be on some type of flea preventative.
How will I know that my pet has been transported to the designated location?
The driver for your pet will take a photo with your pet at pick-up and drop-off and send those photos to the phone number requested by the owner.
How is my pet transported by Furbaby Fetch?
Furbaby Fetch is an exclusive ground transportation service. All pets being transported are housed in secured crates in a Furbaby service van for transport. The crates are fabricated within the vehicle and the vehicle is climate controlled. We welcome our customers to view the vans so that they can see how their pet will be transported.
How will you gain access to my property for home drop-offs?
Furbaby Fetch provides service to both private residences and apartments/condo buildings. Furbaby Fetch will provide a lock-box for purchase for customers who live in a single family residence. The owner will set the code for the lock box and provide the code to Furbaby Fetch for the exclusive use by Furbaby Fetch to pick-up and drop-off of their pet. All keys provided in the lock-box will be secured in the lock-box upon the completion of transport.
Can you transport pets that are ill or have special medical needs?
If your pet has something that is contagious or that could possibly be contagious (for example, if your dog is coughing, has a runny nose or is sneezing), your pet cannot be transported by Furbaby Fetch until your veterinarian has confirmed that they are no longer a risk to other dogs. You may be asked to provide a statement from your veterinarian confirming that it is safe for us to transport your pet.
What if my pet becomes ill or requires medical attention during transport?
In the event that your pet requires medical attention, we will refer to your contact list and make every attempt to reach you or your designated emergency contact. If we are unable to contact you or your emergency contact and we feel your pet needs immediate medical attention, we will transport your pet to their regular veterinarian, if close by, to ensure continuity of care. If your veterinarian is not on the transport route, we will go to one of the local veterinarians that we know. If we believe that the situation is urgent or if your pet needs care after regular hours, we will take your pet to the closest veterinary emergency clinic. All drivers for Furbaby Fetch are also trained in pet CPR.
How should my pet be secured for pick-up and drop off by Furbaby Fetch?
All dogs are required to be on a leash at all times when coming or going. Cats are required to be secured in a crate. This is for the safety of your pet. For other animals besides dogs or cats, please contact info@furbabyfetch.com for more information.
